1973

Toronto Chinese Community Services Association (TCCSA) founded.

1976

Registered as a non-profit and charitable organization.

1984

Became Member of the United Way of Greater Toronto.

1986

Moved from 70 D’Arcy Street to 310 Spadina Avenue.

1990

Peel Centre opened in Mississauga at Palstan Road.

1997

York Centre opened in Markham at 3160 Steeles Avenue East.

2005

York Centre moved to Metro Square.

2006

Scarborough Centre opened at Bamburgh Circle.

2007

Agency name changed to “The Cross-Cultural Community Services Association”.

2008

Annual Pre-settlement workshops in China started.

2009

Peel Centre moved to Mississauga Chinese Centre.

2012

Organized a Guinness World Record breaking event: The Longest Dancing Dragon (5.56km), 5,000 volunteers attended.

2013

Peel Centre moved to 720 Burnhamthorpe Road West and expansion of Scarborough Centre.

2017

Toronto Centre moved to 302 Spadina Avenue.

2018

Celebrated TCCSA’s 45th Anniversary.

2020

New initiative: Community Connections Program for newcomer youth, women and seniors.

2021

New support from Government of Canada’s Youth Employment & Skills Strategy: Youth Reflect and Retool Program.

2022

New initiative: Mental Health Specialists and Community Engagement.
